Join us on Thursday 13 July, 18:30 – 21:00 in Macclesfield Town Hall, for a must-attend free event exploring the current themes and future direction of Digital Skills. Hear from the organisations at the forefront of how we enhance and learn digital skills.
Cheshire East is home to hundreds of creative technology and digital industries, and the Weave network has partnered with SHIFT to deliver a series of ‘Town Talks’ professional development workshops.
Weave host Hilary Stephenson of Sigma introduces Rebecca Nancarrow Principal Accessibility Specialist from the BBC’s Digital User Experience & Design group to discuss accessibility buy-in and developing digital inclusion champions, Monica Tailor from McCann Erikson Advertising Agency on strategies for addressing the digital skills shortage, and a representative from Barclays Digital Eagles / Life Skills programmes. Following the speakers, a panel will be joined by Derren Wilson from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) on preparing students for the Creative & Digital industries and Roz Atherton from Cheshire East’s Skills & Growth Company to debate with the audience.
