Digital Arts & Creative Technology

Pollution Explorers with Future Everything and IDST!

SHIFT is really excited to be working with Future Everything on two upcoming exciting projects. We are working with some of their Fault Lines artists – a talent development and commissioning programme for art in technology innovation.

One will bring an original digital arts commission to Cheshire East – we will tell you more about this project as it evolves…artist Matt Rosier is currently in an exciting research phase.

The second is a Pollution Explorers workshop with artist Ling Tan. It is coming to Macclesfield this Saturday 9th June, 1pm, Macc Artspace. Tickets are free but book here.

Ling delivered the first of these workshops this weekend in London.

She will present the results from these two workshops at the Centre Pompidou in Paris later in June.

If you are interested in joining us, you will take part in a series of open discussions and activities regarding air quality issues and ways to tackle it in your neighbourhood.  You will also participate in a couple of outdoor activities where we will be exploring our subjective perception of the quality of air, through the use of custom made wearable coats fitted with body gesture and air quality sensors. Come join us! – no expertise or skills required.

This event is being brought to the SHIFT programme in association with IDST!
